About Us

We're Hardtland Home Improvement, Inc., a premier roofing contractor serving Verona, WI, since 1972. For more than 40 years, our team has been providing a wide range of services including siding, roofing, gutter repairs and cleaning, roofing installation, and more. Dealing with storm, hail, and wind damage can be stressful, so we work with all insurance companies to make the process of repairing your home as simple as possible! Our Story

Hardtland Home Improvement, Inc. was established by our owner, Tom Degenhardt in 1972. Tom wanted to find a way to give back to his community of Bremen, Indiana, and he was finally able to do that by putting his roofing skills to good use. Tom and our team of contractors have more than 40 years of experience in the industry, so you can rest easy knowing you’re in good hands!

Here at Hardtland Home Improvement, Inc., we pride ourselves on our quality of work and attention to detail. We understand that damaged roofing and siding is urgent, but we won’t sacrifice the quality of our work during our quick response. We provide exceptional customer service and our top priority is making sure you are completely satisfied before we leave.

Our specialties include roofing, siding, and home improvement services, but we also offer gutter cleaning and covers, leaf guards, handyman services, and repair for damage done by storms, hail, and wind. Our products include doors, windows, shingles, siding, metal roofing, and other roofing materials.

We offer free roof and home exterior inspections, as well as free estimates to all our customers. We work with all insurance companies and will take on the bulk of the financial work so you don’t have to worry. We want to make the process of repairing your home’s exterior as simple and painless as possible!

After a neighbor's trees fell on our patio roof overnight we called Tom and he came over late that SAME afternoon. The other roofer we called first never even us called back! Tom climbed up and found 5 holes punched thru the plywood and patched them all termporarily to prevent any more water damage. Since it was a busy time with many trees down all over the area it did take a few weeks to get the roof totally redone but it turned out perfectly. The gutter were alsoc rushed and not long after the roof work another of Hardtland's crews showed up and replaced those so it all looks like new. We also had some other unrelated overflow problems with the gutters in other places and Tom climbed up 2 different times to try and effect a fix to those. So far, so good. They are great folks to deal with and do a really good job at a fair price. And are very quick workers. We highly recomment them for any roofing and gutter repairs.
